Student Art Exhibited in the Old Library at the Alabama State Capital

First grade students Harper and Jillian were recently awarded the Visual Arts Award from the Alabama Department of Education.  Jillian's watercolor of a peacock and Harper's drawing of an eagle both received certificates for participation and outstanding artwork in the 2012 annual State Superintendent's Visual Art Show.  The students' art was also placed on display for one month in the Old Library at the State Capital in Montgomery. This annual exhibit features 400 pieces representing all kindergarten through twelfth grade students in the state.

All students will receive a free magnet from www.displaymyart.com/ and an order form will be sent home in the near future so that parents can order their child's artwork on a variety of items (shirts, mugs, notebooks, bags, jewelry boxes, clocks, pencil holders, etc.).  The orders will benefit the CCPS PTO.
